 About DLA

The Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is currently being replaced by new benefit called Personal Independence Payment (PIP). People are no longer able to claim Disability Living Allowance if there are over 16 years old. One can only make a claim for DLA if he/she is claiming for a child under 16 years old. Any other claims now should be made for PIP. Existing Claims

Personal Independence Payment is slowly replacing the Disability Living Allowance for people aged 16 to 64. If you are currently receiving DLA, don’t worry it won’t be affected until 2015. • Level of help: Middle – Weekly Rate £56.75

All DLA rates are paid monthly to the bank account provided from the person who has claimed it.
