Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) is a support provided from the UK government with the aim to help people with their expenses while searching for a job. The rate is normally approximately  £57.35  but it depends on the individual circumstances a person is in. Please note, that there are different types of JSA. To qualify for Job Seekers Allowance you must be over 18 years old but below state pension age. Also you must be physically able and available to work in the UK. When payment can be stopped

The payments will be stopped or sanctioned if you do one of the following:


  • don’t keep to your Claimant Committment

  • don’t go to a Jobcentre Plus when asked

  • turn down a job or training

  • don’t apply for any jobs

  • don’t go to any training booked for you
